Springfield, IL Photographer: Glam-o-Rama

I love old movies, so it should come as no surprise that some of my photos seem to reflect the influence of old Hollywood. I think every couple has a glamorous side…it’s up to me to bring it to light!

This photo of Tara and Zach reminds me of a silent film. I think he just rescued her from train tracks — just in time!

I love the punchy colors and dramatic lighting of The Legacy Theater.

Classic, movie star elegance at Chicago’s Blackstone Hotel.

Springfield, IL Wedding Photographer ~ Some Photos Are More Important Than Others

Quite possibly one of the most moving photos I have had the honor of taking. Megan’s grandmother was unable to attend the wedding, so she and Matt visited her grandmother instead. On a day that is supposedly “all about the bride and groom,” Megan and Matt put a great deal of emphasis on the importance of family and friends. More photos from this wedding coming soon, but this one might just be my favorite from the day.

Beautiful Family (and Engagement!) Session at Lincoln Memorial Gardens

It is so obvious that these two are bonkers about each other — and their beautiful little boy. Can’t wait to photograph their backyard wedding in September!

If you stalk wedding blogs, you are already familiar with the beautiful and inspiring site, Style Me Pretty. I am very pleased to announce that they have chosen not one, but two of my weddings to feature on the blog. You can view them here and here!

Stay Little Valentine Stay ~ Valentine’s Day Cards from Springfield Illinois Photographer Kari Bedford

Did you know that Valentine’s Day is the second most popular day to send greeting cards? Neither did I! One of my clients chose to do a session in her home so that she could send out custom Valentine’s Day cards instead of Christmas cards. I think they turned out so cute that EVERYONE should send out Valentine’s Day cards instead of Christmas cards. Makes the holiday warm fuzzies last just that much longer.

Just had to share!
